Anesthesia - Clinical Chief

We are currently looking for a clinical chief at our Piedmont Rockdale Hospital. The ideal candidate would be someone who is a practicing clinical anesthesiologist with leadership experience.

Operational units will most commonly consist of a single licensed facility. In some cases, a Clinical Chief may have responsibilities that extend across multiple licensed facilities for the purposes of operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Active ABA certification

- Demonstrated leadership experience and interpersonal communication skills

- Appointment by the PHC Chief of Anesthesia

- May also serve as the facilitys Department Chair

Responsibilities:

1. Monitoring of the facilitys need for anesthesia services through regular meetings with the facilitys leadership

2. Ensuring that adequate professional staff are available to support the facilitys need for anesthesia services in cooperation with the Service Line leadership

3. Providing oversight for scheduling of all Anesthesia Service Line staff practicing within the facility

4. Managing required communications with Anesthesia Service Line staff necessary to support efficient business operations

5. Appointment and management of a Lead Anesthetist for the facility

6. Representing the Piedmont Human Resources department in the management and evaluation of all employed Service Line professional staff practicing within the facility

7. Communicating with the Department Chair regarding any clinical event that may require review by a committee of the medical staff organization

Reporting Relationships:

- Is accountable to the PHC Chief of Anesthesia regarding adequacy of clinical staffing, the maintenance of professional practice standards, and compliance with all regulatory requirements

- Works collaboratively with the facilitys Department Chair to ensure the implementation of professional practice standards and compliance with all regulatory requirements

- Is accountable to the facilitys Practice Manager and the PHC Vice President for Anesthesia with regard to supporting efficient business operations

- Is accountable to the Piedmont Human Resources department regarding the terms of employment for all employed Service Line professional staff practicing within the facility
