We are seeking a detail-oriented leader, passionate about healthcare operations and team development. Join our Coding & Billing department, where your expertise will drive accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration across the revenue cycle.
As the Medical Billing Supervisor, you’ll lead a skilled team of Medical Coders and Billers, ensuring timely and precise claim processing, coding, and billing. This role (Full Time and On Site Only) works closely with the Revenue Cycle Manager and Accounts Receivable team to optimize workflows and resolve escalated issues.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Empower
- Set priorities and assign tasks based on production goals and billing rejections.
- Evaluate team responsibilities and reallocate as needed to maximize efficiency.
- Stay current on industry trends and insurance requirements, sharing updates with the team.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that align with compliance standards.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance for escalated coding and billing issues.
- Monitor and maintain billing software accuracy related to coding.
- Mentor team members, offering training and performance feedback.
- Conduct annual evaluations and foster a positive, growth-oriented team culture.
Collaborate Across Departments
- Partner with the Revenue Cycle Manager to align departmental goals and strategies.
- Share regular updates on coding and billing metrics.
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to resolve payment-related issues.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education sessions.
Support & Flexibility
- Step in to assist with coding and billing tasks when needed.
- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience preferred.
- CPC certification or equivalent required; CPC & CPB preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of medical coding and/or billing experience in a professional setting.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology.
- Experience working with major health insurance providers.

- Strong leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset to evaluate reports and guide team priorities.
- Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Office 365, especially Excel.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach.
Work Environment
- Office-based role with moderate noise levels.
- Frequent communication with team members and other departments.
- Use of computers and office equipment; ability to remain seated for extended periods.
