The Heart Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our established physician-owned private practice in Central California.
This opportunity offers a balanced procedural practice, shared inpatient coverage, advanced EP technology, physician-directed procedural workflow, and a transparent Partnership & Leadership Track.
Practice in a collaborative physician-led environment with the autonomy of private practice while helping shape the future of one of Central California’s premier electrophysiology programs.

Practice Overview
Independent physician-owned cardiology practice
Established group of 9 cardiologists
6 Interventional Cardiologists
2 Non-Invasive Cardiologists
1 Cardiac Electrophysiologist Partner, 1 affiliated Electrophysiologist coverage partner
Internal and external referral network of more than 200 referring physicians
Primary inpatient EP coverage at 436-bed Saint Agnes Medical Center, mainly one hospital, no significant commuting.
Occasional, as-needed inpatient coverage at Clovis Community Medical Center, reserved exclusively for Heart Group patients.
Physician-directed cath lab scheduling and operational workflow, allowing efficient procedural throughput and physician autonomy
Collaborative relationship with the Internal Medicine GME Residency Program, including resident support for inpatient EP consultations
Heart Group physicians maintain cardiology leadership and directorship roles supporting cardiovascular quality initiatives and program development at Saint Agnes Medical Center
New Heart Group medical office building under construction (40,000 Square feet)
Conducting feasibility studies and active planning for a new Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC
Clinical Practice
Inpatient Electrophysiology
The position includes outpatient and inpatient electrophysiology coverage for Heart Group patients.
Inpatient EP consult responsibilities at Saint Agnes are shared among three electrophysiologists, providing a rotating weekly coverage
Clinical responsibilities include:
Inpatient electrophysiology consultations
Outpatient clinic workup flow is three half-days per week of clinic, with full administrative support, including office space and medical assistants. We are currently on EPIC EHR with integrated Abridge Ambient AI scribe. Internal and external referral support to build clinical practice. Advanced practice provider support available as practice matures.
Call
Shared weekly EP coverage among three electrophysiologists; every third week EP weekday coverage.
Weekend EP coverage is a low-volume home call and restricted to urgent consultations only.
Weekend Group calls approximately once every eighth weekend; rounding includes the GME Cardiology team (2-3 residents) for notes and documentation.
Procedural Practice
Approximately 200 catheter ablations annually
Approximately 200 device implantations annually
Established referral network providing a consistent procedural practice from day one
Existing panel of over 50K patients.
Full-spectrum electrophysiology including:
Atrial fibrillation ablation
Ventricular tachycardia ablation
Pacemaker implantation
ICD implantation
Cardiac resynchronization therapy
Lead extraction
Opportunity to expand procedural volume and develop individual procedural interests as the electrophysiology program continues to grow

Compensation, Partnership & Benefits
Three-Year Compensation Track
Years 1–2
$700,000 guaranteed minimum annual salary with any excess net earnings delivered as a year-end bonus.
$50,000 signing bonus
Moving expense reimbursement up to $15,000
Year 3+
Productivity-based compensation with uncapped earning potential aligned with individual clinical and procedural production
Established partners routinely exceed the guaranteed compensation through the productivity model
