Emergency Medicine Opportunity in Rural Minnesota

Practice Overview

• You'll practice in a Level III Trauma Center seeing approximately 12,000 annual ED visits with a daily census of 30-40 patients
• Work alongside dedicated APP support, hospitalists available 24/7, and specialists in surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, pediatrics, anesthesia, oncology, and more
• Single-physician coverage model with APP coverage daily from noon to 10 PM
• Utilize Epic EMR, Dragon Ambient eXperience (DAX), bedside ultrasound, tele-stroke services, and 24/7 respiratory therapy support

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts only; full-time physicians work approximately 1,500 annual hours (about 10-12 shifts per month)
• Block scheduling available to support travel, commuting, and personal flexibility
• Overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts are shared equitably among the team
• No 24-hour shifts, helping maintain physician wellness and patient safety

Compensation & Benefits

• Realistic earning potential approaching $450,000 annually for a full-time physician
• Hourly compensation includes premium rates for nights, weekends, and holidays
• $100,000 sign-on bonus and up to $20,000 relocation assistance

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred
• Family Medicine physicians with substantial Emergency Medicine experience and strong regional ties may be considered
• Minnesota medical license or eligibility for licensure required
• Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates
