Advance your career in one of the most established and respected academic medical centers in the country. As part of a growing and highly skilled intraoperative neuromonitoring program, you will use neurophysiologic monitoring to help protect and preserve neurological function during surgery.
About the Role
You will independently perform IOM in an operating room during complex adult and pediatric surgeries including but not limited to neuro, orthopedic spine, vascular, and ENT surgeries. As part of the surgical team, you will provide real-time interpretation in conjunction with supervising neurologists while collaborating with surgical team to ensure patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform SSEP, TcMEP, EMG, EEG, ABR, and cranial nerve monitoring Case coverage includes: complex spine, cranial, and vascular cases Establish and maintain effective working relationships and provide clear intraoperative communication with surgical and anesthesia teams Document monitoring activity in accordance with departmental, clinical, and regulatory standards

Schedule & Work Model
This role supports 24/7 IOM coverage. Scheduling follows the UMMAP collective bargaining agreement and may include rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and on-call assignments.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
High school graduation with basic science coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Reasonable experience as an IOM Technician
Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year of Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (IONM) experience OR Bachelor's degree with a focus in IONM
