Emergency General Surgery | Surgical Critical Care
The Department of Surgery at NYU Langone Health is seeking a dynamic, accomplished, full-time academic surgeon-leader to serve as Chief, Acute Care Surgery at its Manhattan campus. This position provides clinical and administrative leadership for Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Surgical Critical Care at one of the nation's leading quaternary referral centers.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and technical skills, demonstrate exceptional outcomes, and take a collaborative approach to patient care. The selected candidate must be able to work effectively with colleagues both within and outside the division.
Please note: The Manhattan campus is not a designated trauma center.

Compensation and Benefits
NYU Langone Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. Final compensation will reflect experience, training, institutional and community needs, and other relevant factors.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in General Surgery
- Board certification in Surgical Critical Care
- Established leadership experience in Acute Care Surgery, including Emergency General Surgery and/or Surgical Critical Care, within an academic medical center
- Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Fellowship training in Acute Care Surgery
- Strong robotic experience in Emergency General Surgery
