Requirements
Role & Responsibilities Lead and deliver prostate brachytherapy (LDR) including evaluation, case selection, consent, intraprocedural planning, and postprocedure care. Provide comprehensive outpatient radiation oncology care (consults, contouring, on treatment visits, followup) across common disease sites in addition to primary prostate brachytherapy role Collaborate closely with urology, medical oncology, anesthesia, nursing, dosimetry, and physics in a multidisciplinary setting. Be able to practice build and develop strong collegial relationships across specialties Travel (~30% of time) to partner facilities across West Coast, Midwest, and East Coast to support growing brachytherapy practice
Qualifications MD/DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited Radiation Oncology residency. ABR board-certified or board-eligible in Radiation Oncology by start date. California medical license (or eligibility) by start date. Demonstrated experience in prostate brachytherapy (LDR and/or HDR) preferred; additional training/mentorship available for candidates with foundational skills and strong interest. Proficiency with image-guided planning (e.g., TRUS/CT/MRI fusion) and evidence-based, patient-centered care. Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills; comfort working across multiple sites.
