Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery
- Fellowship training in spine surgery preferred
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to manage high surgical volume and complex spine cases
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Eligible to work in the United States
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Provide neurosurgical and spine surgery at Trinity Health Oakland (497 bed, Level 2 Trauma) and Trinity Health Livonia (304 bed) and Trinity Health Livonia ASC
- Provide comprehensive trauma, acute care, and critical care surgical services, including operative and non-operative management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, anesthesia, and critical care for complex neurosurgical and spine patients
- Supervise and educate residents, APPs, and medical students as applicable
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, quality initiatives, and clinical documentation standards
- Utilizing state-of-the-art technology including O-Arm, Leica microscopes, and stealth navigation
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives and clinical trials related to spine devices
