• ED Volume: 22,000
• ED Beds: 12 + 4 Fast Track Beds

ED Coverage

• 24 hrs. of physician coverage per day
• 12 hours of APP coverage per day
• Admission rate 30% (mostly geriatrics)
• Sister Facility to the North - Brandon Regional north takes most transfers
• Peds Ob-Gyn Sister Facility to the South - Blake Hospital takes Trauma both are HCA Certified Stroke Center
• Primary no intervention 24 hour Radiology Reads (on all studies)
• SMD will not accept days-only clinicians
• Nights Needed ASAP--Clean File for Temps Preferred

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138-bed community hospital proudly offering a wide range of patient-centered services to Southern Hillsborough County, including 24-hour emergency care when you need it most. Our facility is nationally recognized by the Joint Commission for stroke care and total hip and knee replacements, as well as sepsis and heart failure treatment. We also specialize in cardiology, colorectal health services, general surgery, and orthopedic care. Our hospital is a Certified Primary Stroke Center, delivering high quality stroke care and meeting the specialized needs of patients who experience a stroke.
