Description

Provide periodic coverage in a busy inpatient cardiothoracic surgery practice with a broad procedural scope and dedicated surgical support. This assignment offers predictable block scheduling for planned PTO coverage.

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery setting
• Perform CABG, valve, aortic, TAVR, ECMO, and robotic thoracic procedures
• Dedicated cardiac surgery operating room team, anesthesiology support, and physician assistants
• Adult cardiac and thoracic surgical care

Schedule

• Coverage provided 1-2 weeks every other month
• Weekday operating room, clinic, and hospital responsibilities
• 24-hour call coverage during assigned blocks
• PRN schedule to cover planned physician time off

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Texas medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
• Clean background required

Logistics

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage are provided
• Travel accommodations are coordinated for each assignment
