Michigan Gastroenterology locums focused on inpatient only coverage, no clinic responsibilities, built around predictable weeklong blocks that fit cleanly around your existing schedule.

Highlights

• Hospital coverage only, no clinic patients to manage
• Week-at-a-time coverage model, straightforward handoffs from Monday morning to Monday morning

• Anesthesia in house 24/7, supports efficient endoscopy workflow when needed
• Longer term need due to schedule reorganization, strong option if you want repeat blocks

Practice Setting

• Adult inpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Consults and rounding average 4 to 8 per day
• Coverage includes hospital, ED consults, and systemwide phone calls while on service
• 3 IR physicians available for procedural and imaging support

Schedule

• Weeklong blocks from Monday morning through the following Monday morning
• Two weeks per month coverage model
• Call responsibilities are limited to the time you are on assignment

Cases and Procedures

• Inpatient GI consults and rounds
• Routine GI procedures with 24/7 anesthesia availability

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years in Gastroenterology
• Michigan license required, or IMLC Letter of Qualification, open to IMLC Physicians
• Active DEA
• ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship
